A Day in the Bay || SF

I always tell myself I’m never going to live in a city, but here I am, missing San Francisco, wanting to go back already… ugh. You’ll never run out of things to do or find yourself bored when you’re here, there’s always something going on. And the biggest plus of this SF trip? Getting away from my 105 degree weather back home & enjoying the bay breeze in the 70s, can I just stay here every summer ?!

I started my trip in the best possible way- an MLB game (!!) I went to AT&T park to watch the San Francisco Giants play the Chicago Cubs with some friends, & me being me, I was the only one rooting for the Cubs… (they won, duh). It was my first ever night game & the whole vibe of it was amazzzing. I love love love going to MLB games- the people, the food, the atmosphere, everyone there is just having a good time & the positivity spreads! The park looked so beautiful at night overlooking the water all lit up, I swear there’s not a bad view from anywhere.

The next day we got started off by heading directly into the city. Our first stop was Union Square & let me tell you, if you wanna do some serious shopping, THIS is the place to go. From a giant Tiffany’s to small lil’ boutiques, you can find literally anything here. So naturally, we spent a good chunk of our time here, heh. I was so in awe of how much there was & wanted to buy every other thing I saw, I got into that stage where I was TOO overwhelmed & I left empty handed… smh, I know. Next time, I’ll be more prepared & I am determined to buy something on a whim…maybe.

Dinnnnna’ time calls for heading to Pier 39! Probably one of the most iconic places in SF, after the Golden Gate, Pier 39 is my favorite place to go to in the evening.

There is so much to do there, with family & friends, and the whole atmosphere just makes you feel happy. Since it was a chilly night, we decided to go for a San Francisco classic dinner- Boudin. Y U M. If you like bread (who doesn’t?), this is a MUST. And for the complete tourist experience in the city, get the clam chowder in a bread bowl… you won’t regret it.

And like I always say… your day isn’t complete until you have dessert! I don’t know why, but I was realllllly craving some ice cream and I had just seen a Ben & Jerry’s stall so it was basically game over. Even though it was 55 degrees & I was literally shivering as I walked over, I ordered some Mint Chip, literal heaven. But that’s not even the best part about this ice cream sitch. When I handed the guy my card to pay, he handed it right back & I kid you not, he said, “It’s my last day…. just take it.”  Did i just get F R E E  ice cream ?! I was so shook that had really happened (it’s usually $7) !! There really are saints in the world :’) Good karma is definitely coming his way.

That was the perfect end to a perfect day in San Francisco & I cannot wait to go back. All I can say is I love the city.
