Travel || Santa Cruz

Hello, hello lovelies!

I finally took a trip down to Santa Cruz with some friends and had suuuuch a good day. We left at 7 am… I know… ew. I am not a morning person. But it was a 3 hour drive so we wanted to get an early start (s/o Jake for driving us while I fell asleep). We went straight to Capitola & walked around the cute lil beach town, exploring the local surf shops. Processed with VSCO with c1 presetJake and I ended up buying one of the basic Santa Cruz sweatshirts, (you can find it on my insta here) which came in handy at night because it was chilllly. Then we grabbed some Pizza My Heart, aka a Santa Cruz staple, and ate it on the beach.  The nice thing about Santa Cruz is that everything you wanna do is pretty close by, so after Capitola we went to the boardwalk for an hourish to eat some more because why not. “I’m here for a good time not a long time.” And OMG guys ,you won’t guess what I tried… a deep. fried. twinkie. It was DELISH but after two bites I felt like I just ate diabetes so I had to stop lol. Processed with VSCO with c1 presetThen we went to Mystery Spot and not even kidding, it was so trippy. The cabin you go inside literally makes you feel dizzy and the whole thing was just a series of me being confused as to what the heck was going on. If you ever get a chance to go visit I highly recommend it! Just don’t go there in an uber or else you will be stuck for 30 minutes waiting for a cab you called off of a payphone. Ya. Let’s not talk about it. Processed with VSCO with g3 presetWe ended our night back at the boardwalk and laid on the beach for an hour watching the sunset, which was one of my favorite parts of the day. There’s just something about the beach that is so calming, no matter what. Processed with VSCO with m5 presetIt was the perfect end to our adventure-filled day, and as we left, I grabbed a chocolate dipped cone (I still keep thinking about how good that was) and we drove all the way home…well, Jake did…because I fell asleep…again. Processed with VSCO with c1 presetLet me know if any of you head out to Santa Cruz this summer & give me some ideas of what I should try out next time I’m there!
